This IR bullet IP security camera brings you extended infrared (EXIR) technology at a competitive price. In this cutting-edge design, the infrared emitter and camera lens are housed separately, unlike more traditional IR security camera models. This allows for wider infrared coverage and an overall cleaner nighttime image.
Have you ever installed an IR security camera in a seemingly perfect location, only to find out later that you can barely see anything at night? When the lens and infrared LED lights are housed behind the same glass, often times excess IR light will reflect off of the window and back onto the camera lens, leading to a fuzzy, overly exposed image. By moving the IR light below the camera lens, you don’t have to worry about this ever happening again.
But that’s not all! This camera offers fantastic specs day or night. With an HD 4MP resolution, dual video streams, IP67 weatherproof protection, true WDR, and more, this camera will bring you excellent surveillance coverage anytime. Experience all that the NSC-2X4G-BT EXIR bullet has to offer today!
Verified PurchaseOne of the things I always tell clients, friends and family is if you can't make out a face and a license plate day and night then your security system is nothing but a dummy deterrent. These cameras are what I consider to be mid-range and I always do 1920x1080P resolution with the highest quality settings and H.265+ on to save space and a 2TB HDD is enough for 8 cameras on motion 24/7 and it usually holds about 7-14 days worth of footage. You can make out faces and license plates as well. My client said sometimes he just looks at them because the quality of the picture is so good on a 1080P TV.
Verified PurchaseGood camera. Field of view is nice however I wish this was offered in a 2.8mm lens. Overall did its job.
Verified PurchaseThis is the best bullet camera available for the money currently. Both picture and build quality are excellent and the EXIR looks fantasy at night.
Verified PurchaseFirst I want to say I really like the EXIR series cameras. I have both the turret style 2.8mm and this one. I prefer the 4mm lens although I haven't tired the 6mm version but I don't think I need that narrow of a view point and the 4mm seems perfect. Some people may prefer the smaller bullet for its size but I want to be seen with this camera and mean business and this fits the bill. Its substantial in size and weight but hung from the soffet it looks right at home. It will need some type of solid wood or backing as just an aluminum soffet like mine wasn't enough support so I mounted it near the fascia into the wood. At night is has two red IR leds when looking at the lens that is hard to miss. Night vision is much better than any other style camera I own like the ones with LEDs around the lens and even the turret EXIR version. Every camera has its purpose whether they are close in wider cameras like the 2.8mm or this one for a better distance like the 4mm, 6mm. I plan on buying at least another 4-6 of this camera. I am running Blue Iris software on a dedicated computer with a POE multi-switch. I am not using one of those camera NVR hard drives so it gives me the freedom to have a few different brand cameras hooked up. This one is the best so far. I did have to play with the image settings a little to get it just right but couldn't be happier for this price point.
Verified PurchaseThis camera is definitely larger than the dome or turret style cameras but is one of my favorites. I have this camera mounted by the second story roof-line viewing my entire back yard. Picture is great and I have had no issues in the almost 1.5 years that I've had it installed.
Verified Purchase4MP with great infrared at a stellar price point. The housing is rock solid, and has a more professional look to them than the smaller units.
Verified PurchaseI've been running this camera for about 6 months now along with 3 other style cameras. This is my favorite without a doubt. 1 of the other cameras costs 2 times the price of this camera, and I don't see any advantage to it. This camera has very clear picture, and the night vision is fantastic. I'll be getting more of these soon.
Verified PurchaseI have this mounted to the corner of my second story pointing out at a large yard and deck and I am very impressed. Everything is crystal clear and night vision looks great. Install was as easy as hooking up the cable and screwing the camera to the eave. Very pleased with what I got for the price.
Verified PurchaseI've had this camera for two years. They're connected to an old HP Procurve 100Mbps POE switch and I'm running iVMS 4200 storage server on an old Dell 2950. For the most part, the cameras have been very reliable. I did have an issue where the cameras would constantly switch from day to night mode that I fixed by upgrading the firmware and resetting the camera. The pictures are very clear day and night, the cameras are well built and look like real security cameras. They're a bit of an eyesore attached to the side of the house but I see that as a good thing since they get noticed and if they're noticed by the bad guys they usually find a softer target.
Verified PurchaseThese cameras are great for watching a storage yard, inventory of a business or outside a shop. The night vision is good and longer than most other cameras we have ever used. Very happy and satisfied. The 4mp image is great. Crisp and clear. 4mm lens is pretty wide to pick up good detail for a decent sized area.
