Performance Over Wi-Fi Connection

One thing to note with this camera is that you may or may not be able to get 30fps at full resolution if you’re connected over Wi-Fi. This is going to depend on a variety of things like network speeds as well as the distance from the router. While we were testing out the camera, we were able to get 2MP at 30fps over the internet at the office. However, during a home test we were only able to reach 12fps. The only way to guarantee you’re going to have full resolution and frame rate is to hard wire the camera with an Ethernet cable. If you are connecting using Wi-Fi, expect a slight decrease in image quality in order to get real-time streams.

It’s convenient as a monitor for watching your kids in another room, making sure your pets aren’t making a mess while you’re gone, or as an intercom using the 2-way audio. There’s so many possibilities for this little cube, it would make an awesome Christmas gift! Make sure to pick one up for someone on your list… and another for yourself.
