The NSW2010-6T-POE-IN 4 port PoE+ switch from Uniview offers a convenient way to install your IP security cameras. Instead of running two separate cables to each IP camera, one Ethernet cable running from the switch to your camera will provide both power and data connectivity. With PoE+ capabilities, your switch will power the majority of standard IP cameras. And with Extend Mode, you can lay cable runs up to 820' in length. This switch also has two 100Mbps uplink ports for connecting this to your Internet router and your NVR.
This 4 port PoE switch provides 30 watts of power at each of the four powered ports. Altogether, the switch is capable of outputting 64 watts of power, which is more than enough for most four-camera installations.
In standard mode, each port is capable of sending data up to around 300', which is standard for Ethernet network connections. In this mode, all six ports can communicate with one another. However, this switch also supports extend mode, which allows you to run four cable runs up to around 820' in length. In extend mode, the powered ports cannot communicate with one another; they are only able to communicate with the uplink ports.
Whether you're setting up a four-channel security system from scratch or adding additional cameras to your current system, the NSW2010-6T-POE-IN four-port PoE switch is an excellent choice.
