Durable and weatherproof all-metal construction? Check. Powerful infrared LED’s for super clear long-distance night vision? Check. Elegant and user-friendly interfaces for instant activation, 24/7 remote access, and on-the-fly zoom adjustment? Check, check, and check. And the best part? It’s all at a price point unmatched by any camera of its caliber.

Our R-Series 4K Motorized Varifocal Bullet, like all products in our R-Series line, is geared toward simplicity and elegance. You’ll spend less time getting everything set up and more time enjoying these incredible features.

4K Ultra HD Resolution

The M8ZB captures video up to a resolution of 4K @ 30 FPS, which is 3840x2160 pixels. Every pixel added to your camera's picture gives you a higher image quality and more detail. So at 4K, you're going to get a crisper, cleaner, and more detailed image.

3.3-12mm Motorized Varifocal Lens

The M8ZB has a Motorized Varifocal Lens, ranging from 37°-105°. This means you can easily and quickly adjust the zoom to your liking directly from the camera’s interface.

The Motorized Varifocal Lens gives you more control over your image. Optically zoom in to view finer details and a tighter shot. Or keep the camera zoomed out to enjoy the bigger picture with a wider angle field of view.

IP66 Weatherproof Rating

This camera has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 66. This means the camera is completely protected from dust and other solid particles (the first six). It can also withstand powerful streams of water jets from any direction (the second six).

Rest assured that when you install your camera outside, it will have no problem braving the toughest of storms.

Up to 165ft Night Vision IR Range

When the sun goes down or the lights go out, this camera switches on its own onboard infrared LED lights. These lights, which are invisible to the human eye, allow the camera to continue functioning and recording video 24/7, day or night. And since its IR range covers up to 165ft, you're not going to miss anything that happens on your camera's feeds, even if it happens in pitch-black darkness.

Remote Access

As a part of our R-Series line, this camera is geared for easier operation. You can even instantly view your camera’s video feeds by scanning the QR code with your phone. No activation, no editing IP addresses, no advanced coding or port forwarding. Even if you’ve never touched a security camera before, you’ll be able to figure out the mobile app in no time at all.

Also view your cameras from your computer using the CamViewer application for Windows and Mac. These remote viewing options allow you to use this as a standalone camera.

Plug & Play

If you're creating a new system out of our R-Series cameras, set up is insanely easy with our R-Series line of recorders. Simply plug the camera into the back of the R-Series NVR and you have instant video on the recorder’s HDMI interface. You can also view and manage the NVR through the same mobile and desktop applications mentioned above.

ONVIF Compatibility

If you want to add this camera to a security system already set up, that’s no problem. This camera complies with the protocols set by the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF). This means, as long as your current recorder is ONVIF compatible, you’ll be able to set this camera up with your current system in no time at all.

Is this camera compatable with other NVR setups? I can get my NVR to see the camera but it will not record.

Yes this camera is compatible with NVRs that support the ONVIF protocol.

2 questions:
Can this camera stream using RTSP?
Can it stream 4K@30FPS via RTSP?

I'm planning to receive the RTSP stream from several cameras on a PC, decode the stream and dynamically crop it via code using OpenCV, and then record it to disk and display it on screen hopefully with very minimal delay. Using an NVR, premade software, or the ONVIF protocol is not an option for what I'm doing so I need to know if the camera can stream 4K@30FPS via RTSP specifically. I hope that's not too technical a question to ask.

Thanks for your help.
Hi Steve,

Yes it can stream 30 FPS via RTSP. The only thing I will tell you is that you will probably want to make sure it is set to h.264 as we have had issues streaming rtsp via H.265
Okay, I have one other questions then.

What is the url I can use to access the RTSP stream? (e.g. rtsp:// - obviously the IP address will be that of the camera on the local network)

Thanks a lot for your help.

Example - rtsp://admin:password1@
I'm looking at several 4K cameras on your website and am mounting to an existing 1 gang electrical box (wired with Cat6A RJ45 male connectors for POE), I've seen several adapters (ie.: JB-BT, JB-TZ). Can adapters mount to the existing screw holes (2) of the electrical box?

looking for both indoor and outdoor cameras, all pre-wired with Cat6A.

Best Regards, Dean.

While we have not tested this here, i can imagine the holes on the Junction boxes for the cameras will not line up with a standard Gang box.
You are more than welcome to order one to try on site firstly to test there. If it does not work out, we have a hassle free 60day return policy!
Is this camera compatible with Blue Iris? If so, can you control the varifocal lens within Blue Iris PTZ function, or do you have to use the cameras web interface?

The video feed is compatible with blue iris. However, Im unsure if the Zoom control will work. If not, its very easy to login to the camera and adjust the zoom. Please note that this camera is not meant to be zoomed in and out constantly. Rather, the motorized zoom feature is primarily designed to take the pain out of manually adjust the zoom level during installation.
